Don’t be afraid to start over…
Few people really know what they “want to be when they grow up”. Did you?
I didn’t.
There was the usual…a teacher (after all I went to school for 12 years). But I didn’t have a tremendous passion for any one thing.
Some people do…I’ve known kids who wanted to dance…and they did.
Some wanted to be firemen and they are.
Some wanted to be doctors and they are.
Actors, physical therapists, dental assistants, lawyers, the list goes on and on…
But the truth is…most of us grow up and “become” something because we set out to find a job to support ourselves so we can become independent and eventually take care of a family.
So many people who knew what they wanted…to the degree that they got just that…a degree, are still not working in the field they went to school for.
Too often we just work and work without ever really discovering our passion…without ever considering we have a choice.
It’s not too late. You can still make a change to do something you love.
There will be risks, and a learning curve, and probably some sleepless nights doubting whether or not you made the right decision.
But 10 years from now, or 5, or ever 1 year from now you could be exactly where you are right now…or…you could be doing something you love..something that is fulfilling and meaningful to YOU.
So what are you waiting for? Step out on that limb! Take a risk on YOU. Dare to be all that YOU can be in this life of yours!
